Reporting

  • Hospitals can provide a forensic exam (a SANE exam), often 24/7.
  • In most states a kit can be collected and stored before you decide whether to report.
  • Reporting to police is your choice, on your timeline.
  • Under VAWA, the exam itself should be available at no cost to you.
